the software did not do what i needed, that was to change from a domain to a workgroup, so i will not be using it

Not for vista.

The website I downloaded net switch from led me to believe that it'd work for vista. The net switch web site, as well as my recent tests, verify that it doesn't. Seems like a really handy program though, I was going to buy it.
